Dr. Daniela Owen is a licensed psychologist, the assistant director of the San Francisco Bay Area Center for Cognitive Therapy, and an assistant professor at UC Berkeley. She received her BA in Psychology from UC Berkeley, and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Stony Brook University.
Dr. Owen has presented extensively at national and international conferences, as well as been published in several academic journals. Dr. Owen specializes in working with children and families on how to cope with anxiety, worries, fears, stress, low mood, social challenges, and problems with attention and concentration.
Dr. Owen aims to help children develop a toolkit of strategies for handling life's typical challenges. Her "Right Now" children's book series turns complicated, evidence-based methods for dealing with anxiety, stress, and low mood into simple, concrete approaches that children can use every day.
