Monique Sanchez Ward grew up in Orlando and now resides near Nashville with her husband and children. "Happy Things!" was inspired by a conversation Monique had with her young daughter about the things which everyone deserves.
Monique hopes that this book can help educators and other grown-ups foster similar conversations with the children in their lives. Monique is a former teacher of English as a Second Language and continues to work in higher education.
