Follow Fiona through her color-changing, feather-filled day as she learns to accept not only being a different color from the rest of her flamingo flock, but that it is also okay to have emotions you don't understand. It's okay to be scared, angry, and sad at times.
As children, we all experienced a wide range of emotions that are often new and sometimes scary. We are so proud Fiona Flamingo is now being recommended by Doctors and Psychologists to help children understand those feelings. We recently discovered it is also being used by teachers in classrooms across the country.
When Fiona woke up, her feathers were WHITE. She thought it was such an awful sight.
Fiona got worried, and then she got scared. Her feathers turned GREEN, and she wasn't prepared.
Then she got angry, her feathes turned RED. This flamingo wants to be pink instead!
After getting so upset, Fiona tuned BLUE. Will her dreams of being pink ever come true?
Fiona became depressed, and her feathers turned GREY. Why was she different? Why was she this way?
PINK, WHITE and GREEN... RED, BLUE, and GREY... She's a bird of many colors, and that's the way she'd stay!
